Today’s MOTD was created by Enrique Tejero, a graduate from Vancouver Film School. The infographic explains how to change a tire and would be very useful to print out and slip in the trunk next to a jack in yours…or a loved ones, vehicle.

h1n1

Today’s MOTD comes as a result of doing some internal site research and seeing that MOTD #67 - Piggy Trouble is a Google number 1 hit for the term H1N1 Infographic. I posted that article more as a design piece than as to be used for reference material, as the sources are not sound.

In order to provide some better sourced information graphics about H1N1, I posted this graphic about antigenic shift, a concept that was foreign to me before. I hope to post some more educational minded H1N1 graphics in the future, so please continue to check our site.

For more information check out the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Disease, where this article came from.

Map O’ The Day #154 - Aztec Calendar

calendar

Today’s MOTD is one of the world’s oldest information graphics. While it is not a map written on paper, the Aztec Calendar, carved in stone, is a graphical representation of the Aztec year. Obviously, the images would not be clear without explanation, but they would have been understood by the Aztecs during their era.

Map O’ The Day #150 - Online Relationships

asdasd

Today’s MOTD comes to us from David J Carr’s wordpress blog. He cleaned up a graphic (Top) that was covered by Mike Arauz (Bottom) at his blog.

I think David’s rendition of the graphic adds a lot of high value content without overwhelming or confusing the reader. Sometimes when you try to make a simple chart more specialized, you tend to lose more in translation than you gain, but not with this example.

Analysis and improvement of graphic content and re-rendering visual elements to add value are two things that Maga strives to do in all of its endeavors.

To stay consistent with our site structure, I have provided the largest version of the image i could find, but the link to the original article, complete with a zoomable flash interface is here.
