Advertisers tell us that boys want to play soldier, and girls want to play mommy – the most prominent word in boys’ ads is “battle.” For girls, “love.”
We like these word clouds because of the colorful, visual, and quick way that they make their point – boys are told early on to be aggressive and “macho,” and girls are told to be nurturing and loving.
