Advocate Hammad Alam Passed Away, Cause of Death

In the National Security and Civil Rights program at the Asian Law Caucus, Hammad Alam was a tireless campaigner, staff attorney, and program manager.

Unfortunately, he passed away on 3 October 2023. In addition to being a lawyer, Hammad Alam was a fierce defender of justice, equality, and the rights of underrepresented groups. His work at the Asian Law Society was evidence of his constant commitment to these goals.

The family of Hammad and his community are in mourning because they have lost a kind and honest person from their family. According to Hammad’s colleagues, they always saw him energized by his work, and he always performed his job with 100% energy and passion.

Who is Hammad Alam?

Hammad was a resident of Sacramento, California, and he was the guy who served his life to fight for the legal rights of minority people who can’t raise their voices. Hammad has been a staff attorney and ALC’s National Security & Civil Rights program manager since 2020.

He has been in charge of local and state campaigns that promote and protect the rights of people in the Arab, Middle Eastern, Asian, Black, and Muslim communities. At ALC, Hammad worked fearlessly, organizing to address the effects of the Muslim and African Bans and defending government campaigns that falsely portray Muslim, Black, and other populations as fundamentally suspect.

In terms of his interests, Hammad was passionate about music and football, which he actively shared with his coworkers. While still attending ALC, Hammad married his beloved Haifa, and earlier this year, they brought an adorable princess home, Inara. Hammad and Haifa provided their communities with constant support even after becoming parents.

In a world where the fight for social justice and civil rights is still challenging, individuals like Hammad Alam stand out as sources of inspiration and positivity. Hammad Alam was an incredible person who lived with dignity and kindness. He left a legacy for the following generation to carry on after passing.

Cause of Death:

It is heartbreaking news that a man who tried their best to fight for people’s Rights without any judgments of color, caste or religion, who always took a stand for others, has passed away. Unfortunately, the cause of his death is not announced. The authorities are still investigating.
