Christamarianne Mission Hospital is a private hospital that provides comprehensive medical and surgical services and facilities in aligning with the requirements of the Department of Health Service Support of Public Health Ministry.
The establishment of the Christamarianne Hospital was opened on 19th May 1983 by His Excellency the President Hon Daniel Arap Moi. The Hospital is managed by Franciscan Sisters of St.Joseph Asumbi which has moved location at least three times since the early days and the increasing expansion of the hospital has reduced the amount of accommodation available on the site.

Overview of Mission Hospital in Kenya
The missionaries played a very key role in the provision of healthcare in Kenya before independence which led to the establishment of mission hospitals that have continued to serve the Kenyan population to date. Mission hospitals are faith-based institutions that provide health care. These hospitals were established by Christian missionaries.
