DRI seizes 2 lakh e-cigarette sticks from Gujarat’s Mundra port

Bhuj (Gujarat), Sep 18 (IANS) The Directorate of Income Knowledge (DRI) has held onto around 2.04 lakh e-cigarettes from a compartment from the Mundra port.

The global market worth of the seizure was around Rs 48 crore, making it the biggest capture of e-cigarettes as of late.

E-cigarettes imports and commodities are restricted in India.

As indicated by the sources from DRI Ahmedabad and Surat, a group on unambiguous insight had captured two compartments on Saturday.

During the review of one of the two compartments, they found containers loaded with e-cigarettes, totalling 2,04,000 lakhs e-cigarettes.

In one more compartment a few different products were imported with bogus statements.

The two transfers were traded from China and presently the DRI is researching whether the shipper pirated the e-cigarettes into India interestingly or has the wrongdoing been carried out before additionally utilizing bogus announcement.
