Elly De La Cruz parents have been his constant supporters since his early childhood. De La Cruz wears a pendant with a picture of his mother Carmin.

De La Cruz was born in Sabana Grande de Boyá, Dominican Republic. His mom Carmin has always been a supporter of his career, even before he left his home aged 6 years old in 2008 to live with his coach’s brother seeking better opportunities.

According to Cincinnati Enquirer, Elly’s mother said she would always support him throughout his baseball career regardless of how far it went. The player has reached Major League Baseball, one of the highest leagues of sports in the world.

Although Elly has kept his mom close to his heart by wearing a pendant with her picture and talking about her during press meets, De La Curz has never mentioned anything about his father during his interviews. He is yet to reveal his father’s name.

The baseball player also revealed that he said that the coach’s brother had to ask his mom before he could take him in aged 6 years old in 2008 to train him and provide better opportunities. 

Elly’s revealed his loved ones and friends would gather at his home in the Dominican Republic to celebrate his promotion to Major League Baseball. The baseball player receives immense support from his father, mother, siblings, and friends.

Elly De La Cruz Has Five Siblings

Elly De La Cruz siblings include his five brothers including one twin brother named Pedro. Elly De La Cruz five siblings played baseball at one point in life.

Cruz grew up playing baseball with his siblings and other senior children from the neighborhood, he was picked into the team because he would often be the smallest one until he declared himself for the sports at age 6 moving to the new academy in search of opportunities.

According to The Athletics, Elly’s siblings including his twin brother Pedro De La Cruz had given up on their dreams of pursuing professional baseball by the time Elly was 10 years old and looking for opportunities at Santo Domingo Academy.

Elly De La Cruz brother Pedro De La Cruz is found on Instagram with his username @la_pedra05. Pedro shared an image with Elly in November 2022 and captioned the picture by writing “Twins.”

Elly’s other brothers remain out of his limelight and they do not have public social media accounts. Furthermore, Elly has also not shared anything about his siblings with his accumulating fanbase and has yet to reveal if he has sisters in his brood.

Now all of his siblings joined the celebration at home when Elly was finally promoted to Major League Baseball by Cincinnati Reds.

Elly De La Cruz is not related to Bryan De La Cruz as a brother. Elly and Bryan have the same last name and both come from the Dominican Republic.

Elly and Bryan have many things in common including their last name and home country but their relationship is not among the similarities. Although both come from the Dominican Republic, they were born in different parts of the country.

Bryan De La Cruz was born in Santo Domingo Este in the Santo Domingo province of the country whereas Elly De La Cruz was born in Sabana Grande de Boyá in the Monte Plata province of the country. The two places are nearly 80 kilometers away from one another.

Elly was born to his mom Carmin but information about Bryan’s father has not come to the limelight yet and his mother has already passed away. However, Bryan did pay tribute to two special women in his life, his late mom and wife, with a special Mother’s Day gift that included custom cleats, according to a Facebook post.

Bryan was born on December 16, 1996, making him 26 years old as of 2023. He currently plays with Miami Marlins in the Major League Baseball.
