There is no doubt that throughout this final weekend of 2012, many will begin to contemplate New Year’s resolutions. Whether it be a reflection on how they fared in keeping 2012’s goals, what they hope to change in 2013 or if they will even bother with it all this year… there is no escaping the consideration of resolutions.
In honor of the New Year and the tradition of resolutions, we thought it fitting to include a graphic that assesses trends and success rates of such goals as our Map of the Week. The visual guide, featured on visual.ly last January, highlights six of the most popular resolutions and corresponding statistics. These include:
- Drink less
- Obtain a better job
- Manage finances
- Quit smoking
- Become more environmentally conscious
The bottom portion of the infographic offers strategies for readers interested in becoming one of the 12% — or, approximately 1 out of every 10 that form resolutions — who can sustain their goal throughout the duration of the year. It’s worth a look if you have high hopes for 2013!
