Srinagar, Sep 11 (IANS) Former senior Congress pioneer, Ghulam Nabi Azad said on Sunday that he has not guaranteed rebuilding of Article 370 in his new political plan since he doesn’t trust in making bogus commitments.
Tending to a public gathering in north Kashmir’s Baramulla town, Azad said, “To reestablish Article 370 would require around 350 votes in the Lok Sabha and 175 votes in the Rajya Sabha.
“This is a number no ideological group has or is probably going to at any point get. The Congress has contracted to under 50 seats and assuming that they talk about reestablishing Article 370, they are making bogus commitments.”
He said his political plan incorporates rebuilding of statehood, land and occupations for local people as these are attainable goals.
“Certain individuals have faulted me for casting a ballot for the Article 370 repeal movement got by the home pastor.
“I have casted a ballot against the repeal and these individuals who have no clue about the working of Parliament are saying that I casted a ballot against Article 370,” he said.
He said when he was the central clergyman of the state, he captured 13 police staff for organizing a phony experience where three people were killed.
“The captured people are in prison throughout the previous 15 years,” he said.
